Jeans days raise $20,000

Five years ago Wentzville NEA started Jeans Days for Missouri Special Olympics.

Since then, district employees have raised more than $20,000 for this wonderful cause.

Missouri Special Olympics is a year-round program of sports training and competition for chil-dren and adults with mental disabilities. More than 15,000 ath-letes participate in 19 sports throughout the state.

Please continue to pay your $2 and wear your jeans on the desig-nated dates.

In addition, Wentz-ville NEA was able to raise enough money last year to sponsor Laura Bates, principal at Discovery Ridge Elementary School to go ―Over the Edge.‖ Laura will rappel down the side of the Lumiere Place Casino on Octo-ber 1.

We are excited that this will bring some positive publicity to Wentzville NEA’s
